The JJY chat news kinda ruined Roy Kim for me. I get that (at least as of right now) the only thing he was found guilty of is possessing pictures he probably just found on the internet and sharing them, but the fact that his behavior illustrates he at least knew about/had some idea of the nafarious things JJY and co. were up to and did nothing about it, continuing his close friendship with guys like that. This particularly appalled me knowing Roy Kim has a sister, and that, knowing Joon Young, basically told him to stay away from his sister (it was in one of those reality show episodes). If you have to tell your bestie to back off and don't interact with your family, you know something. Something that could've potentially brought justice to these women sooner and maybe even prevented some of them from getting victimized in the first place. The least he could've done was disassociate himself from a creep like that, but it would seem it didn't matter to him. Oh,and also, he is American, so tbh that also irked me a lot. I realize South Korea has a lot of problems with violence against women and molka, so I sorta feel like as an American Roy Kim should set a better example
I really love Chen (he's my bias in exo and exo is one of my top 3 groups), and even though I know his vocal technique has improved over the years, there reached a point in around 2017 where I felt like it became more unpleasant to listen to. It used to sound more earthy and full, and now sometimes his voice sounds a little watery and thin. It might also be because of the way that he enunciates his words, which I also think has changed over time. I feel kind of bad saying this, since I still listen to his voice religiously, but yeah.
Ryujin is a better dancer than Chaeryoung. The only reason why people rank Chaeryoung above Ryujin when it comes to dancing is because Ryujin lacks in facial expressions and stage presence so she doesn't standout all that much and pales in comparison to Chaeryoung.
Chungha's choreos are....boring ngl. They all look the same too. People love to point out how BP's choreos look too similar but never do it with Chungha even though she recycles old moves from her previous dances like....99% of the time.
Hikki's USA album (English album) launches never took off--they seemed unpopular and even a lot of her fans said that the music was bad compared to her Japanese songs. It may not be the same calibur as her Japanese music but I love her English music too, for it's own character. I remembered this song the other day and when I first heard it years ago it made me cry a little, I think it's pretty
